December 23rd: Early Celebrating

This Christmas was very special as all of my brothers & sisters and their families came to visit. Trevor, Lena and the kids came the day before Christmas Eve but had to leave on Christmas Eve so we celebrated with them at my mom's house on the 23rd before they had to leave.

Baby #2 Ultrasound. . . It's a GIRL!

No one was more shocked than me that we are having another girl. . . I would have put a lot of money on us having a boy since this pregnancy is so different than my pregnancy with Macy! But we are thrilled that Macy is going to have a little sister. All looks good and healthy and measuring on track. Her heart rate was 155 today and I am 20 weeks along. What a neat early Christmas present!!!!!!! Thanks to Grandma Mary for coming with us to be a part of the ultrasound too.

She stayed face down the entire time so I didn't get a nice profile picture but here are a few cute ones!
All curled up.

Proud "Big Sister"

Leaving for the ultrasound.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. . .

We finally got hit with an actual snowstorm this weekend. I took Macy out to see what the snow was all about. We didn't stay out long because I didn't bundle her up in her snowsuit but thanks to her super cool Christmas gift from Diane Coffindaffer (Tyler, Ethan & Aylee's Grandma) she was nice and warm!! Thank you "Grandma" Diane for the sweater/hat/mitten set. . . it is so soft and warm (not to mention stylish) we will get lots of use out of it!

Mommy's Little Shopper

Macy has turned into such a fun side-kick on the weekends. She is a great little shopper!! This picture is from a recent shopping trip to Target with Mommy & Grandma Mary. We might have a problem when she starts talking more and can report back to Daddy all the stuff we buy!!!!

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a really nice Thanksgiving in Port Huron at Greg's parents' house. Grandma Andie cooked yummy turkey and all the fixings! Unfortunately in the evening Macy spiked a fever of 104 degrees and was pretty miserable for a couple days. Once the fever broke she ended up with a fever rash as well that finally just went away. She was a trooper through it all though!!

Pretty girl!

Macy loved the sun room at Grandma & Grandpa's house.

Thanksgiving dinner.

We all know this feeling of how you feel AFTER Thanksgiving dinner - time to rest her tummy!

Baby #2 Update: 17 Weeks!

I had a 16 week check up last week and baby #2 is right on track and growing! The heart rate was 159. I have been feeling pretty great although exhausted and a lot more achy with this pregnancy. . . probably due to age or because I chase a 19 month old all day!!! I think I took for granted the luxury to nap during my pregnancy with Macy. I continue to workout every morning at 5AM and think that has a lot to do with helping me feel good this pregnancy not to mention gain a lot less weight this time! Our gender ultrasound is on December 22nd, we are super excited about that appointment. I can't decide which I would prefer. . . I love having sisters so a sister for Macy would be so amazing, but yet the thought of having a little boy is really exciting too. . . good thing we don't have to make this choice!!!!

Big Weekend - Lots of Visitors & Goodbye Pacifier!

This is officially the last picture of Macy with her pacifier!!!! We decided to give it up this weekend. The timing was perfect as she has been teething so hard that she chewed a hole in it anyway so we kept telling her it was "broke". Then on Saturday while she was sleeping, I cut the top off the nipple and she thought it "broke" some more. Then that night I cut most of the nipple off so she couldn't keep it in her mouth. . . buy bedtime she wanted nothing to do with it!!!!!!!! And knock on wood she has sleep through the night ever since and has not even mentioned it at all!!! Whew!! It sure is nice not having to worry about her wanting her "fire" anymore!!!
Uncle Chad and Megan were in town all weekend and we got to hang out with them Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

Grandpa and Great-Grandma Quinlan came for a quick trip on Saturday. It was great to see them!

Doing the "Chicken Dance" at Grandma's house on Sunday!!!

Macy loves the chicken!

Halloween 2010

I had no idea how much fun Macy would have this Halloween. I thought at 18 months she would be too young to enjoy it but I was wrong! She had such a blast on Halloween day. Daddy was hunting but Macy and I spent the day celebrating. We started our afternoon at Grandma's house. For this part of the day Macy dressed up as a Bumble Bee. She didn't like putting the costume on but once it was on, she LOVED it.

Grandma's house: Macy's first time trick or treating!

My little Bumble Bee.

Macy loves Grandma's wagon.

After Grandma's house, we stopped home for a quick nap and then met up with Hayden (and her mommy and daddy) to go trick or treating in their neighborhood. This time Macy was dressed as a Piggy and again loved the costume. I think she thought it was funny that Hayden was dressed up too. Macy wasn't sure what to do a the first couple houses but then she got the hang of it and would run right up to the door. She couldn't quite say "Trick or Treat" but she did say "bye bye" and blew kisses to each homeowner when we left. She wasn't even afraid of the adults or other costumes at all. Such a big girl! We ended up having a blast - thank you to the Boehrer's for inviting us!!

Little Piggy!!

Kisses for Hayden (Macy does this every time she sees Hayden).
