"Real" Food

Macy is loving experimenting with new foods! So far she has tried, rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, sweet potatoes and bananas and has liked them all. I made the mistake of letting her "feed herself" and now she always tries to grab the spoon. . .oops bad habit there. She has also learned a new trick and that is to blow bubbles and spit the food back out at me and then burst out laughing!! I try not to laugh so she will stop thinking it is so funny but gosh it sure IS funny! Good thing she only does that when she is in her goofy moods!!!

Sitting Up!

Last weekend Macy started sitting up by herself. She can stay seated for a pretty long time unsupported but eventually gets tired and falls over (usually forward). When she is laying down now, she is constantly trying to sit up. She sort of rolls to the side and tries to get up. I can't believe how strong she is!!

Our Little Pumpkin!

Macy's cousin Kiley let her borrow her pumpkin costume for her first Halloween. We tried it on this weekend. . . she looks super cute but it is pretty tight so we might have to find another since Halloween is over a month away and Macy is growing each day!! I am so glad I got cute photos though. I also included a photo of Kiley when she wore it on her first Halloween too!!

Mommy's New Diaper Bag

My friend Michele made me a new diaper bag! I was able to pick out the fabrics and help design the bag (size, pockets, etc.) - it was so much fun and turned out too cute not to share. Macy likes it too!!! Labor Day Camping Trip

Greg and I bought a camper!! Jen and Jeff bought a new one so we were able to buy their camper. I wasn't sure what we would think of the whole camping thing (ok, I knew Greg would like it but I wasn't sure what Macy and I would think about it!!!). But we just got back from our first camping trip with the camper and we LOVE it! We have caught the camping bug!!

For our first trip we went up to South Higgin's Lake State Park. We went with:

• Aaron, Kelly and Addy Mills
• Keith, Corrine and June Coffindaffer

We had such a great time for the first time. It was so much fun to see the kids playing together, we are anxious for next year when Macy is big enough to join in the fun!!!

This was Macy's favorite place in the camper. She sat in the exersaucer and looked out the window. The window was at the perfect height to watch everyone walk by.

Macy's First Taste of Rice Cereal

Macy tried rice cereal for the first time on Sunday night. She seemed to really want to eat it and liked the taste of it, but we struggled to actually get some in her tummy. She was so funny to watch, she wanted to suck on the spoon like it was a bottle and even tried to lick the tray on her seat when some got on the tray. Needless to say, it is going to take a couple more tries before we get a successful feeding but we are having fun trying!!!
