I can’t believe that Macy is 6 months old already. How time has flown! At her 6 month appointment she was 17 pounds 11 oz and 26 5/8 inches long (both 75 percentile). She loves being a “big girl” and sitting up. If you lay her down, she will automatically try to sit up. She is not crawling yet but knows how to roll and do other funny maneuvers to get where she wants to be. Luckily she still can’t get very far very fast, we have a lot of child proofing to do in our house!
She continues to love her own voice. She now YELLS rather than just babbling. It isn’t really like a cry just loud talking! It is sort of funny, except when we are in public. Actually she used her voice so much last week that she actually lost her voice for 2 days, we thought she was getting a cold but ended up just being from her “talking” too much!
Macy loves “real” food. She now eats rice cereal and oatmeal and lots of different fruits and veggies. Her favorite veggie is peas. . . Greg and I have tasted them all and peas certainly would not be our favorite. Her favorite fruit is applesauce right now.
She continues to LOVE being at Aunt Jen’s house during the day while we are at work – her face lights up when she sees Aunt Jen. Macy has a new best friend. . . their dog Axel. She loves him! And she looks forward to the end of the day when her cousins come home from school to play and on those rare days that Uncle Jeff gets home from work early!!! We are so lucky to have Macy in such good hands.
She is quickly getting bored with her toys and wants anything OTHER than her toys to play with (remote control, wine glasses, etc.). What a little stinker! But she is still the sweetest little girl and always has lots of loving to give. Walking in the door after work and seeing how excited she gets is the best feeling in the world. We continue to be so blessed!
